Ms. Priyadharshini M is a PhD Scholar in Optometry at SRM Medical College Hospitals and Research Centre, with a strong foundation in clinical optometry, vision science, and myopia management research. She completed her Master of Optometry with a Silver Medal and her Bachelor of Optometry with a Gold Medal from Vinayaka Mission’s Research Foundation, demonstrating consistent academic excellence. In 2024, she was selected as an International Myopia Conference (IMC) Travel Grant Awardee and presented her research poster titled “Inter-device Agreement of Light Level and Spectral Power Distribution using Myopia Tracker” at the International Myopia Conference held in Sanya, China. Her research primarily focuses on myopia management interventions, environmental light exposure measurement, psychophysics, and low vision rehabilitation. Ms. Priyadharshini has academic experience as an Assistant Professor in Optometry, where she mentored undergraduate and postgraduate students, provided hands-on clinical training, and contributed to academic activities and curriculum delivery. In addition to her teaching experience, she has extensive clinical exposure in comprehensive eye examinations, refraction, diagnostic testing, cataract and LASIK work-ups, and patient counseling. She is an active member of the Optometry Council of India and has received recognition for her research contributions, including the Best Student Researcher Award. Her long-term goal is to advance evidence-based myopia management strategies and contribute meaningfully to translational research in vision science.
