Amritha Vijayan V L

I am a Clinical optometrist, Researcher and Retinal multimodal imaging specialist with a Bachelor’s degree in Optometry from Vinayaka Mission’s Research Foundation, Tamil Nadu. I have been working at Chaithanya Eye Hospital and Research Institute, where I currently serve in both clinical and research capacities since 2019.

From the early stages of my career, I have been passionate about research and have actively contributed to various projects and clinical trials focused on Ocular Diseases, Low Vision Awareness, and Paediatric Eye Care. My involvement in both academic and applied research has deepened my understanding of evidence-based practice and its impact on patient outcomes.

I am set to pursue my MSc in Optometry at Glasgow Caledonian University, UK, starting in September 2025. My core interests include Retinal Imaging, Myopia Management, Visual Rehabilitation, and Community-based Eye Care. Through these areas, I aim to bridge clinical practice with research to advance the field of optometry.
