FOCUS 75: 75 Free Course Places, Open to Anyone

Vision Science Academy is marking the seventy-fifth issue of The VISION Newsletter by opening 75 free course places — no discount code, no newsletter subscription required, just an application.

75 Free course places 27 Courses to choose from £0 To start learning £10 Optional certificate

Why this, and why now

The VISION Newsletter has reached its seventy-fifth issue — five years of research updates, community stories, and expert insight sent straight to the vision science community. Rather than mark it with another announcement, Vision Science Academy is opening its text-based course library to 75 applicants, completely free of charge.

Ordinarily, the course fee of £15 includes a certificate of completion at no extra cost. Under Focus 75, the course itself is free; a certificate becomes a separate, optional addition at £10 — five pounds less than its usual combined price, for anyone who wants formal proof of what they’ve learned.

How it works

  • Complete the application form. Open to anyone with an interest in vision science — a newsletter subscription is not required.
  • Receive access once approved, at no cost. There’s no payment to make in order to begin learning.
  • Complete your first course by 30 September 2026 and unlock a second course from the same list, also free.
  • Add a certificate afterwards for £10, entirely optional, if you’d like formal proof for a CV, appraisal, or portfolio.
