Kristi Sharma

Kristi Sharma is a Master of Optometry from Sankara Nethralaya, India, with a research expertise in Teleophthalmology in Retinal Conditions. Currently serving as the Education Engagement Manager at Vision Science Academy, London, she globally represents all educational initiatives of Vision Science Academy and has executed a number of research-based activities within the Academy. Moreover, she is also the creator of two detailed certificate courses in research at the Vision Science Academy Learning Centre. Kristi has presented her research work in a number of conferences and scientific sessions, as both scientific posters and oral paper presentation. Her original research abstract had been selected for oral presentation at the American Teleophthalmology Association’s Annual Conference NEXUS 2025 at New Orleans, USA and the Asia Pacific Teleophthalmology Society at Osaka, Japan in 2025. Kristi holds 16 non peer-reviewed scientific publications and additional two papers currently in press for peer-reviewed journals. She was also the proud recipient of Bhabendra Chandra Das and Mamta Saha Das Memorial Best Alumni Award by Sri Sankaradeva Nethralaya, a Centre of Excellence in eye care in Assam, India, where she was also the university gold medalist during her bachelor studies. Kristi hopes to grow as a researcher and translate her findings for the betterment of the vision science profession.
