Prem Kumar Singh is an expert orthoptist and binocular vision therapist who has been working as a faculty member at Dr. Shroff’s Charity Eye Hospital, New Delhi, India since 1999. He is currently serving as the Head of Department of Optometry Sciences in the same institution. Under his visionary leadership, the Dr. Shroff’s Charity Eye Hospital has outranked other educational institutes to become the top choice for fellowship, internship, and short-term training in various subspecialties of optometry in Northern India. For the past two decades, he has been actively engaged in training his optometry fellows as well as junior ophthalmologists.

He has a multitude of research publications to his name and has been involved in a number of clinical and research presentations at various national and international conferences and workshops. As a volunteer at the Faculty of ORBIS International, he has vastly contributed to Pediatric Optometry, Orthoptics, and Binocular Vision at HBP programs in Asian countries including India, Nepal, and Indonesia. He also laid the foundation of the first prism-dispensing and binocular vision therapy center in North India.

During his professional career, Optom Singh has been honored with several posthumous awards. He was declared the Best Optometrist in 2014 for his clinical & academic contributions. He also received the Best Oral Paper award at 14th Vision 2020 Conference in 2018. He is currently appointed as the Vice President of the Delhi Optometry Association (DOA), while he also serves as an Education Committee Representative of the Indian Optometric Association (IOA).
