Vishakh Nair

The profession of Optometry in India has seen exceptional contribution from some of the greatest minds of the field. One such personality is the Optometrist Vishakh Niar whose professional career is replete with his illustrious services as a versatile health specialist working at university hospitals and research centers across the world.

Optom. Vishakh Nair attended Bharati Vidyapeeth University Medical College, Pune from 1999 to 2003, and graduated as a Bachelor in Optometry (B.Optom) in 2003. Then he pursued his Masters Degree in Optometry from the same institute in 2003, and became M.Optom in 2005. For the next 5 years, Optom. Nair served at his Alma mater where he was also associated with The Vision Care Institute (TVCI) and Johnson and Johnson Vision Care.

Following his relatively short stay at Bharati Vidyapeeth University, he moved to Saudi Arabia where he was recruited as a faculty member in the Doctor of Optometry (OD) Program run by the Ministry of Higher Education, KSA. Furthermore, he has been recognized as a Senior Specialist Optometrist by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties. In addition, he also serves as a proud Fellow of the International Association of Contact Lens Educators, Australia.
