London, UK – June 22, 2025 – Vision Science Academy (VSA) proudly conducted a global webinar celebrating the Deafblind Awareness Month 2025 bringing together professionals, students and the general audience to learn about Sensory Impairments. The event was conducted virtually on Zoom, reinforcing VSA’s commitment to advancing education in all aspects of vision sciences. Students from conflict zones in different parts of the world were invited as well, to give them a platform to enhance their knowledge in vision sciences, even in the face of adversities.
The event was expertly hosted by Kristi Sharma, maintaining a seamless and interactive session for all attendees. The event began with a warm welcome address, explaining that not all impairments are solitary, some can be a combination of two or more, making life even harder for the patients.
The speaker of this event was Dr. Nayan Gupta, Assistant Professor, Department of Optometry, Galgotias University, who expertly covered from the Basics to the Advances of Sensory Impairments, maintaining an engaging experience for all.
The session concluded with an interactive Q&A, where participants engaged with the speaker, followed by the closing remarks and vote of thanks delivered by Kristi Sharma.
