Vision Science Academy observed CVI Awareness Month and National Eye Health Week UK

Vision Science Academy observed CVI Awareness Month and National Eye Health Week UK in October 2025

London, UK – September 30, 2025: Vision Science Academy actively participated in raising awareness on brain and vision interactions and promoting eye health by observing Cerebral Visual Impairment (CVI) Awareness Month and National Eye Health Week UK.

What Is CVI?

CVI is a visual processing disorder where the brain, rather than the eyes themselves, has difficulty interpreting what is seen. It is increasingly recognised as one of the leading causes of visual impairment in children in many countries. Early recognition, intervention, and supportive strategies can significantly improve visual function and quality of life.

Program Highlights and Activities

During the month, Vision Science Academy organised a variety of programs:

Daliya Patterkadavan, an expert in the field of CVI, addressed our audience on how Low Vision Aids Transform Life in CVI.

Ms. Rupali, another prominent CVI practitioner shared her insights into CVI through her Exclusive Article in the Vision Post Exclusive.

Ms. Rupali also contributed with her reels on CVI for spreading awareness among the general audience.
