Down syndrome is a chromosomal condition caused by the presence of extra supernumerary chromosome 21. It is the most common cause of intellectual disability and it affects different systems of the body including the visual system. This talk will explore the most common ocular conditions associated with Down Syndrome and what an optometrist should know towards their management.
