London, UK – 19 September 2025: On the 14th of September 2025, Vision Science Academy conducted the Virtual Grand Finale of QUIZION SEASON 5. This fifth SEASON of our popular quiz competition underwent rebranding from ‘VSA Quiz’ to ‘QUIZION’, signifying a fusion of ‘Quiz’ and ‘Vision’. Following the rebranding, QUIZION SEASON 5 officially kickstarted on May 2025 and went on for the next 4 months with 4 intensive sessions of brainstorming by the participants.
In the Virtual Grand Finale, Top 10 participants combining all the sessions of the SEASON, were invited to compete for a final showdown of vision knowledge.

The Grand Finale was Chaired by Ken Brandt, our Senior Adviser from Australia. Dr Timos Naskas, our Joint Editor and Senior Program Manager was the Quizmaster and the event was hosted by Kristi Sharma, our Education Engagement Manager.
The Top 10 Finalists competed with excellent display of knowledge sharing in the four rounds of the finale combining textual, image-based and case-based questions in vision sciences.
Following an intense tie-breaker round, the Top 3 winners of QUIZION SEASON 5 were recognised for their brilliant performance in the SEASON.
Moreover, to celebrate 5 beautiful and successful SEASONS, a Special Mention of Excellence was also awarded to a candidate for exceptional performance.

To increase the excitement and encourage audience participation, we added a creative Audience Quiz round in the Grand Finale. The fastest to respond correctly per question was declared the winner for that question. The Audience Quiz Winners’ achievements will be proudly showcased in our website and social media platforms.
