Vision Science Academy successfully concluded the June 2026 edition of its flagship educational webinar series, Vision Science Talks, featuring renowned paediatric, squint and neuro-ophthalmologist Dr. Ashima Goyal Sharma. The session, titled ‘Pearls of Myopia Management,’ brought together eye care professionals and students to explore evidence-based strategies for addressing one of the fastest-growing global eye health challenges.
Advancing Evidence-Based Eye Care
The webinar emphasised the importance of early diagnosis, individualised management, and long-term monitoring of childhood myopia. Participants gained practical insights into comprehensive examinations, cycloplegic refraction, axial length monitoring, optical interventions, low-dose atropine therapy, orthokeratology, repeated low-level red-light therapy, combination approaches, and lifestyle modifications.
