A note from Dr. Abhishek Mandal, Founder & CEO, Vision Science Academy
When we sent out the very first issue of The VISION Newsletter, we hoped it would become a space where our global community could learn, grow, and see a little further together. Seventy-five issues later, that hope has grown into something far greater than any of us imagined at the start.
Vision Science Academy was founded on a simple conviction: that vision science education should be rigorous, accessible, and shared without borders. Every issue of this newsletter has carried that conviction forward — celebrating our members, professionals and students alike, who don’t just consume knowledge but put it to work. They publish blogs and scientific articles, take part in research and educational activities, and build their expertise through expert-led courses on the Vision Science Academy Learning Centre. Along the way, that same conviction has grown into a global membership platform, fellowships, live talks, and a community now spanning continents — all built in service of one goal: advancing vision science through education.
This Diamond 75th issue is not simply a number. It represents thousands of hours of collective learning, hundreds of contributors, and a community that has chosen, issue after issue, to place its trust in us. That trust is the true milestone here — and it is one we do not take lightly.
To every reader, member, and contributor who has walked this journey with us — thank you. You are the reason this newsletter, and this Academy, continues to grow stronger with every issue.
