For the month of May 2026, Vision Science Academy conducted a series of educational and awareness initiatives under the World Vision Science Day banner with Visual Psychophysics selected as the monthly focus theme. The activities aimed to promote interdisciplinary understanding, scientific awareness, and academic engagement related to visual perception and sensory processing within vision sciences.

As part of the initiative, Vision Science Academy organised a special edition of the Vision Science Talks featuring discussions related to psychophysics, chromatic processing, and visual perception. In addition to the academic session, multiple digital awareness activities were conducted throughout the month to encourage greater engagement with the topic among students and professionals.

Educational carousel posts, awareness reels, and psychophysics-related digital content were created and disseminated through social media platforms and academic groups to simplify complex scientific concepts and promote wider educational outreach.

The initiative also included the promotion of the Psychophysics Certificate Course at the Vision Science Academy Learning Centre along with the sharing of psychophysics-related educational materials throughout the month.

Through these initiatives, Vision Science Academy continued its efforts to strengthen scientific communication, interdisciplinary learning, and public engagement in emerging areas of vision sciences.
