Vision Science Academy Unveils Major Rebranding and New Global Initiatives
LONDON, UK | January 6th, 2026 – Marking its landmark five-year anniversary, the Vision Science Academy (VSA) announced a comprehensive rebranding of its flagship platforms alongside the launch of four major new initiatives. The update signals a “bold and fresh vision” for the Academy as it enters its next half-decade of operations.
A New Look for Core Platforms
To celebrate the five-year milestone, the Academy has retired two of its most recognisable brands to make way for modernised identities:
- The Vision Post: Formerly known as the VSA Blog, this revamped platform will continue to serve as the Academy’s primary editorial hub.
- QUIZION: The popular VSA Quiz has been transformed into QUIZION, reflecting a more dynamic approach to interactive learning and assessment within vision sciences.

Expanding the Horizon: Four New Components
Beyond the visual identity shift, VSA has significantly expanded its service offerings to better support its global membership and the wider vision science community.
1. MVSA Credential In a move to standardise professional excellence, the Academy introduced the MVSA credential. This global recognition is awarded exclusively to Premium Members, providing a professional designation that signifies a high level of expertise and commitment to the field.
2. Visual Scope Gallery Recognising the power of ophthalmic imaging, the Visual Scope Gallery has been launched. This dedicated space exhibits high-quality clinical and experimental photography, allowing practitioners to share the visual intricacies of ophthalmology.
3. VSA FastTrack To meet the demands of modern digital publishing, the VSA FastTrack service now provides authors with an expedited route to publication. This service ensures that critical insights and photography can be shared with the community without the traditional wait times.
4. Vision Post Exclusive For those seeking deeper analysis, VSA introduced the Vision Post Exclusive. This section hosts long-form articles ranging from 1,000 to 1,500 words, offering authors the space to explore complex ideas and detailed insights that go beyond standard blog entries.

“These changes represent more than just a name shift; they embody our commitment to evolving alongside the rapidly advancing world of vision sciences,” Kristi Sharma, Education Engagement Manager stated.
The rebranding and new features are now live and accessible to all members and the public via the official Vision Science Academy website.
