London, UK – July 6, 2025 – Vision Science Academy (VSA) proudly conducted a global webinar celebrating the Dry Eye Awareness Month 2025 bringing together professionals, students and the general audience to learn about Dry Eye Disease. The event was conducted virtually on Zoom, reinforcing VSA’s commitment to advancing education in all aspects of vision sciences.
The event was hosted by Kristi Sharma, leading to an interactive session for all attendees. The event began with a warm welcome address, explaining about Vision Science Academy and The Vision Science Talks, highlighting how Dry Eye Disease is not as simple as we think of it to be!
The speaker of this event was Soumen Sadhu, PhD Candidate at the University of New South Wales who expertly covered the role of immune system in Dry Eye Disease, corneal immune cells, inflammation impacting corneal nerves, neuropathic ocular pain vs Dry Eye Disease, and clinical scenarios, maintaining an engaging experience for all.
The session concluded with an interactive Q&A, where participants engaged with the speaker, followed by the closing remarks and vote of thanks delivered by Kristi Sharma.
