SPEAKER
Dr. Amal Ezzat
Psychological and Educational Consultant
Hope City Foundation
This lecture explores the psychological processes that shape how we perceive the visual world. Drawing on key theories of perception, including Gestalt principles processing and attentional modulation, participants will learn how memory, expectation, and learning influence visual interpretation. The session examines why perception varies across individuals and highlights practical applications in clinical, educational, and rehabilitative settings, including vision therapy and assessment of neurodevelopmental conditions. Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of the cognitive mechanisms underlying visual perception and how this knowledge can inform evidence-based approaches in vision science and interdisciplinary care.
